SF Slim Series Smart Lock (Matte Black)

My door handle arrived about 5pm. By 7pm I had the lock installed! Is it perfectly straight - no (my own error nothing to do with the product) Does it work - yes! I made sure to go onto YouTube and watch some videos as the written instructions didn't make a huge amount of sense to me personally (but I am dyslexic) followed a video and managed it. I did have to drill two holes one for the cable and one for the top screw. I also had to make the current hole where to spindle is bigger and honestly this was the thing that took the most time as I had to use sandpaper to do this! So at least 30mins was spent on that to be honest. My door is bigger than what it says the device fits but actually managed it without having to get a larger spindle and screws. However I did contact customer services to ask about getting the longer ones sent which I got a reply very very quickly and the person was absolutely lovely. My advice is drill the hole for the cable way bigger than what is actually needed! I didn't get an extension cable in my box but luckily it wasn't needed. What I wanted to do was use the extension cable to put through the hole to make it easier to then pull the actual cable I was going to use through and have that bit more space so to speak. Set up with the app was so easy, just remeber to tap around the keypad area before you press start to scan finger prints otherwise it says failed. I have added the same finger a few times to increase likelihood that finger will actually be read first time! Honestly I was concerned I wouldn't be able to do it myself - infact a builder at my house today told me I wouldn't be able to do it! So he will get a pleasant surprise when he turns up tomorrow and I have done it as he said get a professional to come and fit it! I'm not giving 5 stars for easy to fit purely because it's not super easy and I did use a video from YouTube that wasn't the companies own video (but honestly don't let that put you off from ordering it because it is possible to fit yourself) I love the amount of different lock options on it so theres plenty of choice. The app also tells you how much battery is left which is also a bonus but also if in a push there is a key which I will be leaving in the key safe but also you can attach a battery pack if you end up totally stuck. I now want one for my back door! I haven't brought the gateway for it but have put it into wish list and will keep an eye out for a discount on it but equally I don't feel its massively required!

This security lock has so many options to access your premises. Phone/fingerprint/fob/key/code, plus lots of other features. Especially for when you want to allow friends/neighbours access to your property remotely for one-off access. Egress is also easy. Just open from the inside, and close the door behind you. The door is automatically locked, whether the door is just closed or, in the case of composite doors, double latched. In my case, the composite door was not an exact fit for the lock, but slight modifications to the door was easy, using a battery drill and cone-cutter. Programming was easy. I downloaded the app and programmed the lock straight out of the box on the dining room table. I then installed the lock, inserted the batteries, and Bob's your uncle. Very impressed. I am now standing in the garden, unable to get in. Just kidding lol.

Really supprised how easy it was to install myself in a UPVC multi lock door. took about 1hr ish as had to drill a couple of holes. Works well, very solid and looks great. Highly recomend Youtube install vids.

Replaced our existing lock that required keys lock/unlock from inside and out. Family were reticent but now all totally converted. Even the locksmith that fitted it was impressed. So much better now, permanently open from inside, locked with easy access from outside. Purchased the hub so can now lock/unlock the door from anywhere

Got this for my daughter as she just bought her first home is easy to set up woks great. If your looking for a smart door lock look no further it does exactly what it says and very well. Would recommend to anyone with basic diy skills.

If you’ve some DIY skills it’s is easy to install. I struggled due to a new hole to be drilled and I really don’t want to get messed up with my main door. so I arranged a professional to drill a hole and he did the whole job in 20mins. All the accessories and services comes with a charge. I had Yale conexis L1, and I fit it myself, but the app and operation was rather too complicated and not user friendly. Compared to Conexis L1 simpled is a brilliant kit and user friendly. It even paired up with my Yale conexis magnetic key cards.I knocked down one star due to the inefficiency of child and pet safety.

My lock was relatively easy to install and setup and worked flawlessly for about 16 months, until it stopped working for fingerprint entry. The RF card and codes still worked though. I contacted support via WhatsApp and after a brief conversation and sending a video to demonstrate the problem, they sent a replacement lock without any fuss. This arrived the next day and worked perfectly. It's so rare to get this sort of service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We’ve been using this lock on a holiday let for the last 10 months and it works ok. It was relatively easy to install and set up. I do have issues with the online connection box which does not stay connected to the WiFi network so can be hit and miss. It also does not lock the main lock which a keyed lock would do, so if you have a lift handle door lock then it does compromise security to some degree. Unfortunately our lock stopped working and where it has excelled is the customer service which has been excellent as they have replaced the lock immediately.

Once you have taken off the old lock it does not take too long to install the new one. Setting up the finger prints and fobs is very simple and strait forward.

Register same thumb multiple times and the fingerprint reader works every time If only registered once it’s a bit hit and miss but once you’re used to it it’s a game changer
