Why should I buy an electronic door lock?

A: We would like to counter-question some of your experiences with your own door locks. Do you remember a time when you forgot your keys and was locked out of your home? What happens when you arrive home late and depend on someone (parents/maid) in the house to open the door for you? Do you wake them up? You invited your best friends/family members to your house, but you were running late, and they are already at your gate. Wouldn’t it be nice if they can enter your home instead of waiting aimlessly outside? Have any of your belongings been scratched/damaged through keys in the same bag/pocket? If you have experienced the above scenarios, it may be time you installed an electronic door lock. With an electronic door lock, you will be able to open your gates without using keys (fingerprint/RFID tag/pin codes and even your smartphone).

My batteries have completely run out. What can I do?

There are two solutions: Physical Keys Physical keys are provided together with Simpled smart locks, which ensures that you will still be able to enter the house mechanically even if its batteries run out. It is strongly recommended to keep at least one spare key on you or a family at all times for such situations. USB Input Also, when the physical key is not available, there is a USB input on the bottom part of the smart locks (besides the key input) that enables you to connect a power bank to wake up the lock and unlock it.

What happens to my smart lock during an electrical blackout?

As the Simpled digital locks run on batteries, they will work regardless of a power trip or blackout.

The touchscreen of the lock seems reflective. Can fingerprints be left on the lock, making it easy to guess the password?

Simpled locks come with an imaginary PIN code feature that allows you to enter other digits before/after your actual PIN. This is optional but will help to deter hackers and prevent your PIN code from being exposed. Also, with the security lockout mode, it is even more difficult to guess your PIN code.

What happens if I lose my physical key?

For security purposes, our physical keys are designed unique to your lock ID, and we do not have spares of their respective physical keys. We recommend keeping a key with a trusted family member from the first day. The lock can still be unlocked via other means based on your lock model, i.e. smartphone unlock, fingerprints, pin codes, etc

Which door lock is suitable for my usage?

Type of Door Locks This is really down to your personal preference. Typically, most models come with pin code and biometric or pin code and RFID access, except for the Leo Max smart lock, which incorporated all 3 elements (Face and Palm Recognition, pin code and RFID access).

Are both sides of the handle weatherproof and suitable for use on gates?

No, only the outside panel is weatherproof, The inside panel is not weatherproof and it is recommended to use it indoors to prevent damage from exposure to moisture or water.

Do Simpled products come with a warranty?

How far away can the hub be?

It will be connected to the lock via Bluetooth. So it's ideally around 10 meters. However, the maximum communication range will vary depending on obstacles (person, metal, wall, etc.) or electromagnetic environment.

Does it include the Gateway? Do I need a Gateway?

Normally, this smart lock doesn't come with a gateway. You need to add that to the basket. Is Simpled slim series compatible with all multipoint locks?

Not all of them. On most of them, say 90%. The main ones that are not compatible are those multi-points with offset spindles. It means their handles are not aligned! For these locks, the best alternative is Simpled smart cylinders.

I recently purchased 4 new locks. Isn't there a shortcut to add the old data on the new locks?

1. Choose the new lock on the app. 2. Tap on "Setting" 3. Select "Import from another lock" 4. Choose your old lock from the list. There we go!

Does it have NFC?

Not on all smartphones. Some are using encrypted NFC, and it won't be compatible with the lock. In some regions, people can pair transportation cards on their phones with the Simpled smart locks. In some other countries, it's not possible.

I'm throwing a party. I want to leave the door open for the guests! Should I give access to everyone?

Not necessarily. You can use the passage mode feature for a specific time! In that period, the automatic-lock feature will be disabled. You can still manually lock it with a long-press #.

Can I share administrator access with my partner?

Sure, you can. You can share admin access with a trusted family, friend, employee. Or you can just share limited access!

Isn't voice command on Alexa a bad feature? Anyone in my home has access to open the door?

That's the point. It's for easier access of the people inside. You trust them. Don't you? Even if you don't, there's a pin code that should be announced after a command, and that's what not everyone has!

Can I use it for my AirBnB flat/Hotel?

Sure, it's designed to help you manage your property more conveniently thanks to features like passcodes, eKeys, and even Fingerprint for extended stays! We also have a web application with all the necessary features for managing a property remotely!

Can I use my bank cards to open the lock?

Some contactless cards from some banks are compatible. For example, Lloyds Bank, Tesco Bank cards can be registered on Simpled Locks.

I bought two different Simpled Smart locks for the entrance and my room. Can I use the same contactless fob(/phone tag) to unlock them both?

Sure. Simpled Tags can be programmed on all Simpled smart locks.
